In November I had purchased an amaryllis bulb . I had full intentions in planting the bulb right away so I could have beautiful blooms during Christmas, or at least for January. Well, with work, and all the rest of the activities that go with the Christmas Season. The bulbs were put into the closet, and were forgotten, until one day I was searching for my pruning shears and garden gloves. Out fell my amaryllis bulb!

 So, I decided to plant my bulb and see what happens. I even forgot what colour I had chosen. That was just over 6 weeks ago! I am so thrilled to see the gorgeous colour! 

Day # 65    "Red"

I think I may start a new tradition. I will get 2 bulbs in the fall. One to plant before Christmas (if I don't forget!) and the second to plant after Easter! They are such exotic blooms!
