Photo Challenge Day # 2

Day # 2

Today was a fantastic day to go exploring! So, after a breakfast of coffee, juice, cereal and homemade cheese cake. We, headed west to Vanderhoof! Why? you ask! Because its there, plus we heard that its a wonderful area to see some wildlife.

Our first stop was at the museum. And, yes, it was closed for the season. But, we managed to take some great pictures after stomping around in the snow. We then headed to the bird sanctuary, where we were told that appprox. 7 Trumpeter Swans had just landed. I think I will need to make another trip back here when the weather warms up!
We then stopped at Tim Horton's for coffee and to watch the local wildlife, before doing our walk about in downtown Vanderhoof.

Vanderhoof reminds me of other small towns I have visited, such as Grand Forks, Quesnel BC and Sundre AB. You never know what treasures you may find there. Especially when you meet up with a couple of old friends and get belated birthday hugs.

I have added a couple of photos for your enjoyment...

can you see the swans?
