Photo Challenge Day # 366

Day # 366

Today is my last post for my 366 Day Photo Challenge, we ended the challenge with a birthday party.  The day started out with a leisurely morning of coffee & Kahlua. After breakfast a few gifts were opened (I must say I really felt spoilt)! After answering a few text messages, emails and checking face book for birthday greetings,
we headed out to the local bowling alley!
I think we really earned our pizza and cake today!!

We all had a fun time bowling! Donnie and Audrey were very pleased to have high scores and beat the grown ups!
After pizza, we headed to my mothers place for cake (two) and tea with a wee bit of bubbly!

Thank you everyone for the birthday greetings, cards, calls and gifts…

My 366 Day Photo Challenge has now come to a close.
My goal was to take a picture every day for 366 days. During that time I wanted to learn more about my camera and try new techniques, take pictures about my year, and also wanted to out and explore new places with my camera.
I do know that with any craft, you never stop learning, hence my lessons will continue.
During my photo challenge I submitted a few photos into photo contests, I am  pleased I have won one! … as well  View Bug where you are judged by other photographers. I am pleased to receive several "Top Class" marks.
What is next? Well, I shall take my 366+ pictures and put them into a coffee table book.
I shall continue to get out and take photographs…. I  still have lots to learn, ideas to try, and place I want to go and take pictures. As for my blog…I do have a couple of ideas, stay tuned!

I want to thank my children, my family, friends, face book friends for 366 days of likes, comments, positive reinforcements, you kept me motivated!

Thank you!

See you soon!

Photo Challenge Day # 365

Day # 365

What is that old 'saying' about March? In like a Lion, out like a Lamb? Well, the day started out like a Lamb, sunny and warm…by lunch time the day acted like a Lion, thundering, blowing and raining. For now the afternoon is like a Lamb once again. The sun out with a few fluffy white clouds, all toasty and warm on the couch. We will see how long this will last!
Today's  photo challenge was 'long shadows'! We managed to find some at the park, see what you think?

I love these trees…not much of a shadow
but some great shade during the summer!

Day # 365 "Shadows going for a walk"

There is something about the March weather in Prince George, just wait 10 minutes it will change. Enjoy today, enjoy the moments that make life grand.

See you tomorrow with Day # 366! Yes my last day of my photo challenge!
Stay tuned!

One of my goals during this challenge was to take self portraits of my self and not hide my face from the camera lens...I am getting better. I do know having your photo taken helps to tell 'your' story.
My challenge to you is to post a picture..a selfie, a self portrait of you. Let your picture tell me a story!

Thank you
Have a great evening!

Photo Challenge Day # 363

Day # 363

Pussy Willows
According to an old Polish legend, a mother cat was crying at the bank of the river in which
her kittens were drowning.
The willows at the river's edge longed to help her, so they swept their long graceful branches into the water to rescue the tiny kittens, who had fallen into the river while chasing butterflies.
The kittens griped on tightly to the branches and were safely brought to shore.
Each spring time since, goes the legend, the willow branches sprout tiny fur like buds at their tips where the kittens once clung.

Day # 363 "Wet Pussy Willows"

These pussy willows do look like wet kittens…esp. after the snow and rain we have had the past few days.

Photo Challenge Day # 361

Day # 361

The gift of flowers, they brighten up your smile. They add a wonderful perfume in you room, and bring spring closer to home.
Flowers can express a message from the sender,  Happy Birthday, I am Sorry, Have a Great Day, Just Because, Thinking About You and even I Love You.
Have you ever purchased flowers for yourself? I have, I put them on my night stand so when I wake up…well, its a great way to start your day….

Day # 361 "Flowers for Julia"

Enjoy the flowers in your life!

I took mom to the mall to show her the Hell Ya PG & Pine Centre Mall photo contest winners. The last day to vote for Fan Favourite is March 3rd 2016 (tomorrow)!

Photo Challenge Day # 360

Day # 360

I am quickly coming to the end of my 366 Day Photo Challenge and I need to say a special thank you to Robert. With out his adventurous spirit, his help, advice, opinion, I don't think my Challenge would of had all these great photos from great locations without him.

Chemainus BC, May 2015
Robert has kept me motivated when I was stuck with a photo idea, gave me some inspiration when I had a blank moment when writing up my blog. We had fun & laughter, we went to places I have never been before. He often carried 2 camera bags plus a bag containing bottles and cans*, held a lens while I did a switch, hung onto my coat/belt loops so I wouldn't fall into a river or tumble down the 'cut banks'! We walked miles, drove miles and talked for hours about the next photo challenge.  I now wonder what projects he had put on hold because of my photo challenge?
